Flume Bike Trail Lake TahoeThe Flume Trail

The Flume Trail is one of the crown jewels of Lake Tahoe. The path runs about half-way up the mountain on Lake Tahoe’s east shore, and runs for about 13 miles. The views are absolutely stunning, and it’s an easy ride after you make the initial climb. The trail starts at Spooner Lake, and ends just a couple miles south of Incline Village. If you are a biking enthusiast, or a novice up for a challenge, then we highly recommend the Flume Trail.

The Tahoe Rim Trail is a beautiful, exciting, and enjoyable path for hiking, horseback riding, and biking. There are 5 interconnected sections of the Tahoe Rim Trail that circumnavigates the mountain ridge that surrounds Lake Tahoe. Each section provides varying degrees of difficulty and length. Each is graced with wildflowers, conifers, and sweeping meadows, as well as scenic views of the Tahoe Basin. The section of trail closest to Incline Village can be accessed from a point about 2 miles up Hwy 431.

The “Jogger’s Trail” consists of 3 paved trails that are maintained in excellent condition by the county government. One 2 mile section runs between Lakeshore Drive and Ponderosa Ranch. The other 2 mile stretch runs between the Sierra NV College and the lake. The final length extends from Gateway Park and follows the shoreline of Lake Tahoe all the way to the top of Highway 28.

Beach Trails

There are a variety of other trails to explore and experience in the area. Incline Village has some of the most beautiful beaches in Lake Tahoe, and many allow biking, or have bike paths nearby.
