Incline Village Vacation Rentals at Lake Tahoe

Incline Village, like all of Lake Tahoe, has hiking that is not easily beat. The scenery will take your breath away, and there’s an enormous variety of trails from flat beginners to advanced. With clean air and greatTahoe Rim Trail
weather, hiking the surrounding Sierra Mountains is a great way to experience Lake Tahoe.

Tahoe Rim Trail

The Tahoe Rim Trail skirts the ridge of the mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe, providing excellent views and a challenging journey. The trailhead closest to Incline Village is located in Tahoe Meadows – just a couple miles up Hwy 431. This is a strenuous hike, but worth every second, with huge swathes of wildflowers and foilage that will literally steal your breath away.

Mount Rose Trail

If you are ready for a short but challenging hike that will put all of your skills to the test, head to the Mt. Rose trail on 431 just short of the summit. It is only 6 miles, but it climbs the highest peak that surrounds Lake Tahoe – 10,778 feet. For your hard work you also get the reward: views of Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Carson City. If you make it to the top, be proud, this is a trail not everyone can conquer.

Prey Meadows

If you are not sure that you want to take the hike of your life, the Prey Meadows trail is an excellent choice. This is a rather flat trail, nothing like the steep Tahoe Rim & Mount Rose trails. Expect a peaceful trek through the beautiful forest surroundings. The trail starts just a couple miles north of the intersection of Hwy 28 & Hwy 50. One of the trails highlights is a nice swimming cove along the way, which is usually never very crowded.
